TWO WEEKS!!!

Rhealee is 2 weeks old! Where did those two weeks go? It seems like yesterday that it was Taryn that was this little and now she is my big girl. Things are going great. School started back this week so that of course means Cory had to go back to work. Taryn also started going back to Jennifer's house to keep her on her routine. So it has just been me and Rhealee at home. We had a pretty busy week though with things that need to get done and going to Rhealee's 2 week check up in Lubbock.

At her check up she was almost back to birth weight. She weighed in at 8lb 9oz! They measured her a little shorter than the hospital did and I dont think she has shrunk so we are sticking to the 22in. She has been a little more difficult in feeding and sleeping compared to her sister. She really only likes to eat 1oz to 1 1/2 oz every couple of hours instead of the normal 2-3oz every 3-4 hours so this has been a little trying at times which also means she dosent sleep very long. She has started eating more and sleeping more yesterday and today! Yeah!

Taryn had the stomach bug this past week so that was a long night and a long next day. She is better now and back to her normal rowdy self. Luckily nobody else in the family got the bug!

Taryn is doing prett good in the potty training department, this week she has worn "big girl" panties all day and each day she has had only one accident and that has occured late in the evening. So we are pretty pleased with this progress. Crossing our fingers that we are getting somewhere this time.

This picture is out of order, but it is Taryn hitting golf balls. She loves to play golf with her daddy. Who knows we may have a pro on our hands!

First Days

We have made it home and are settling into a routine, sort of. Right now Rhealee has her nights and her days messed up! Imagine that, luckily Cory is home with us during spring break and he has taken the nights. You wont hear me complaining.

Taryn is such a good big sister, she wants to help in any way she can. She likes to help make bottles, get Rhealee's pacifier, get diapers, help give baths. You name it she is willing to help. She is usually the first to jump up if she hears Rhealee crying. We are so lucky to have such a helpful little lady.

Monday we took both the girls to the park. Taryn need to get out and run off some energy and I thought it would be a good idea for me and Rhealee to join them at the park! Boy was I right about that. I didnt realize how much I dislike being stuck inside, even just for a few days. Rhealee enjoyed the sling I bought and really enjoyed being outside. Imagine that, a Golden enjoying the outdoors.

Here are some pics from the hospital, first night at home and the park!

Taryn at the park, she is a little dare devil!

Rhealee Grace is here!!!

She has made her debut weighing in at 8lb 10oz, 22 inches long born at 4:45pm on 3-12-09!

She looks so much like Taryn its not even funny, the only differnce is that Rhealee has dark hair, not tons and tons but it does cover her head.

The day was pretty uneventful. We checked in at 6:40a.m. got an epidural aroun 1p.m. and she was ready to come into the world at 4:00 we just had to wait on Dr. Burley to get to the hospital. Dr. Burley arrived and she came roaring into the world at 4:45 with healthy set of lungs on her.

Big sister Taryn spent the day with grandparents in the waiting room. She apparently did a good job entertaining everyone and letting them know about her new books that mommy had packed for her. She also kept looking out the window saying she could see baby Rhealee. When Rhealee arrived we let her be the first one in the room and she was very excited. She wanted to see her and give her kisses. It was very sweet.

Everyone got a good nights rest (as much as you can get when Cory is in the room snoring) is well rested and ready for the day.

Enjoy the pics!

Thursday is the BIG DAY!!!!

Wow! Where has 9 months gone? It seems just like yesterday we were sharing the big news that Golden child #2 was on the way. Now we are 2 days away from bring our second child into the world.

These last couple of days have been long and tiresome. We just knew that Rhealee would be making her grand entrance this past weekend, but that came and went and nothing. Monday came and I just kept telling myself just a couple more days. Every morning I have woke up just knowing it would be the day. No action though, so I guess we will be meeting our second Golden girl on Thursday. So stay tuned we will be posting pics as soon as we can!

I am going to try and take pics of the nursery tonight and get them posted ASAP!
Everything is ready to go we are just waiting patiently. Taryn keeps telling my belly "come on Rhea come play my house!" It is the cutest thing.
