Shrimp Boil...First Trip to Jenny's...6 weeks old!!

Rhealee is 6 weeks old!! Where have those weeks gone? This last week she had really started showing her personality. She has started smiling more often and making all those cute little baby noises and being awake more than sleeping. She is growing so fast. Before Taryn knows it Rhealee is going to be as big as she is.

Rhealee is really getting some personality. Those eyes light up when she smiles at you.
Taryn is still a proud big sister and loves to hold Rhealee. It wont be long before Rhealee is to big for her to hold.

Taryn being serious. We have no idea what this face is or where it came from she just looked so serious.
Rhealee at 6 weeks old. She is starting to look so big.

I decided it would be a good thing to send Rhealee to Jenny's a couple of times before I had to go back to work, so Friday she went to daycare for the first time. I thought I would have to be in Lubbock for just a couple of hours, but it ended up being all day. She did great, and mommy did ok too. She will go again next week sometime again. Taryn was super excited for her "seester" to go with her to Jenny's. She helped Jenny take care of her all day.

Getting ready to go to Jenny's. Rhealee got fussy (she knew I was going to leave her) and Taryn was helpful in getting her paci. She is a little rough putting it in, but she is trying.
Not a happy camper. She was mad at me for putting her in the car seat.
Aunt Kami turned 21 this past week so the family all got together for dinner at O'Hanas (spelling?). We have taken Taryn once before and the fire scared her. We werent sure what she would think this time. It scared her as you can see.

This picture was pretty cool. I snapped it right as the flames shot back at us. Look at Doakies face!
Taryn with her Gramps and Doakie. Rhealee the bow-head!! We had gone up to school and she feel asleep coming back to the house. This is how I found her when we got to the house. She hates bows!
Last weekend we went to San Angelo to help PaPa with his shrimp boil. It was a weekend of a lot of work, but it was nice to be away from the house and close to the lake. Wish we had a boat so we could have gone out, it looked so nice. We were staying at the lake and we didnt even get our fishing poles out. Cory, Kami and Michael wanted to go to the driving range instead. Oh well, excuse to go back.

For the shrimp boil we decorated the party house in a Mardi Grai theme, complete with pinata. It was a great excuse to see people act silly and get some good laughs.

PaPa was one of the first at a chance at the pinata and Kami was not very nice to him. So this is PaPa getting back at her. "are you ready Kami? Your facing the wrong direction."

Taryn even took her turn at hitting the face.
PaPa taking his turn at the pinata. He missed more than he hit!
Taryn passing out necklaces for everyone to wear to dinner. She took them back as soon as she passed them out. She wanted them all.
Gramps and Aunt Mammie checking on the shrimp boil. "Gramps are you eyeballing your shrimp? Dont think you can eat more shrimp than me. There is no way!"
MMMM look at all that shrimp. We all ate so much we were miserable.

My big girl. She loved the rv park we stayed at, lots of room for her to run and play!
Payten is a brave little girl letting Taryn push her around. Hold on Payten!
Cousin Payten just hanging out in her stroller. Sweet girl!
Taryn helping PaPa cook hamburgers. She is such a good little helper!

Rhealee is a month old...Happy Easter!!!

Rhealee turned 1 month on Sunday, which was also Easter. So she had a big weekend. As did her big sister Taryn. This was Taryn's first real Easter egg hunt. Her first Easter she was to little to hunt eggs and last year it snowed and we didnt hunt any eggs. (I havent heard the end of this from Doakie.)

So this year we hunted eggs with all of the family and Taryn had a blast. Here are some pics from the exciting Chesshir family egg hunt.

Taryn and cousin Sydni posing in their fancy Easter dresses. They are such little ladies.

Taryn loves to pose and she knew just what she wanted for this picture. Do you think she was told how cute she was that day?

Taryn and Rhealee with Great-Grandma Keaton

Cory and me. Arent we a dashing couple!
"They told us to sit and wait. Where's that food?"

Taryn, Sydni, Payten and Kagen all started out sitting at this cute little table Doakie had set up. Taryn and Sydni are the only ones that made it through the entire meal at the table.

Taryn hunting Easter eggs! There were so many it wasnt even funny.

Their baskets runneth over. I think everyone had to have more than one basket to hunt all the eggs that were hidden in Doakies back yard.

Aunt Tammie made a really cute bunny cake. We took it outside for the kids to "dig in" but none of them really seemed to care for the coconut on the outside.
Taryn trying to decide if she liked the bunny cake. The verdict was a no.

The kids tuckered out after hunting eggs.

Taryn and Sydni swinging together in their matching outfits.

Are we not the prettiest two girls you've ever seen?
Rhealee turned 1 month on Sunday. This is her and Taryn in their matching Easter outfits.
She is getting so big. Each day she gets a little more alert and a little more personality is coming out. It is amazing how fast they grow and how fast time goes by.

Happy Birthday Cory and Dying of the Eggs!!

Taryn had her first Easter egg dying experience last week. It was Cory's idea so I sat back and watched. They did a pretty good job without too many messes that were not cleanable. Then at Doakie's house on Saturday night she got to dye some more and was a pro. Minus the slam dunk into the cup that I somehow missed.

Cory and Taryn showing off their finished products of the Easter egg dying experience. Good job guys!My two goobers waiting patiently for the eggs to be "jus right dad!"

Taryn loved to stick her hand down in the cup. She didnt understand the concept of the little wire hook to put the eggs in with and get them out. She wanted to use her hands.

You cant see it in the pic, but Cory is showing Taryn how to use the metal hook. It was a waste of time!

Saturday was Cory's birthday. He turned 34, old man. We were in Lockney so we spent it with my family. As part of his gift my mom and dad took care of Rhealee during the night and we both got to sleep all through the night. Thanks Doakie and Gramps!
For supper we cooked spaghetti and Doakie baked her famous chocolate cake. We had a quiet evening at their house.

Taryn enjoying her supper. More on the floor and her then in her tummy. She just wanted to go straight to the cake. A girl after my own heart!
He may be 34 but he is still a big ol goof ball. Happy Birthday Cory Jo!

And I sometimes wonder where Taryn comes up with the goofy looks and actions? I think we all know where she gets it from and its not her momma!

Thomas the Train!!!!

Friday was a school holiday, so Cory was home!! We went up to Lubbock and meet up with my mom and dad for some lunch at Double Dave's Pizza. From there they took Rhealee shopping and home with them, while we took Taryn to see Thomas the Train.

We werent sure how this would go over. She seemed excited when we talked about it, but we just werent sure if she would like it enough to be worth the money. Boy were we wrong!!

We arrived at the station and missed the turn, so we had to drive by Thomas before turning around and going in the correct way. As we went back she started hollaring at us to "go back, go back, go back!" we got very tickled at this.

She kept this enthusiasm all afternoon. At the ticket counter she was jumping up and down telling us "hurry go see Thomas". It was very cute. We rode Thomas but we didnt get a picture in front of Thomas (long story) and saw everything there was to see. We left with one tired little girl.

Taryn after a long afternoon at Thomas the Train. She slept all the way to Lockney! Taryn stamping Thomas stamps! Loved every second of this activity.

Taryn was not shy to walk right up to the front and wiggle herself in between these two boys to listen to a Thomas story and watch a movie.

Going down the bouncy slide... with no fear!

Posing with Sir Topham Hatt. She would take a picture here but not in front of Thomas.

Enjoying the train ride. They had balloons bouncing around the train and she loved to bounce them to the kids in front of her and behind her.
Looking out the window during the train ride. She really did not want me to take her picture, but I got one anyways.

Thomas the Train!! Standing in line to board. Taryn did not want her picture taken in front of Thomas and by the time I convinced her to do it, my batteries died in my camera.

Petting the rabbit. This was the only animal she would touch. She wouldnt let Cory put her down with the goats and sheep. But she loved the rabbits.
