Tea Parties, Nutcracker and Santa Land Oh My!

Christmas time is here and that means we are as busy as ever. We are out now for 2 weeks, but will be busy with family, basketball games, and going to the Cotton Bowl! But it will be great to be spending time with family and friends.

This past Friday night we took all of the girls to Santa Land in Lubbock. It was a perfect night to go and see Santa, not to warm, not to hot. The girls had more fun standing in line watching The Polar Express then actually talking to Santa and Mrs. Clause. But it will be another good tradition. Afterwards we went out for pizza at Dion's and then went and did some Christmas shopping. Cory was not able to join us because he was at a basketball game. But he got to hear all about it. All of the girls with Santa. Peyton, Sydni and Taryn.
I was suprised that she got this close to Santa. At the mall she had nothing to do with him. I think it must have been Mrs. Clause. She is thinking about what she wants.
Of course she spotted Dora right off the bat and was more than willing to pose for a picture in front of Dora.

On Sunday the 14th we took Taryn, Sydni and Peyton to see the Nutcracker. I was not a 100% sure that it was a good idea. I didnt know how well two 2 yr olds and a 6 month old would do sitting through an entire ballet. Much to my suprise they did very good. They were mismerized by the music, dancing and costumes. Taryn kept telling me "look mom" I could only smile.

Sydni, Peyton and Taryn waiting for the Nutcracker to start. They all had matching dresses and were soooooo cute!

Taryn and Peyton with their mathcing dresses. Peyton kept trying to eat Taryn's dress.

Taryn and Sydni had their first tea party complete with santa boot mugs, chocolate milk and popcorn. They had a blast eating popcorn and toasting each other. She is growing up to fast! She should not be old enough to have a tea party already.

Taryn drinking her "chk mik" aka chocolate milk.

Are we not two of the cutest girls you have ever seen?

Fall Fun

Nothing much has changed in the Golden house here in the last couple of weeks. Our house is still on the market. Lots of lookers, but no takers, yet!
Football season has ended for Cory with Brownfield not advancing to the playoffs this year. Tech has had an amazing season, beating Texas and OSU and then taking on OU. We went in undefeated and came out with a loss. It was a hard game to watch. The season ended with a win against Baylor and Tech fans crossing their fingers and cheering loud and hard for OSU. An OSU victory against OU would have put Tech in the Big 12 Championship game. No such luck though. OSU hung in there but couldnt pull it out in the end. Now Tech fans are sitting and waiting to find out what bowl game we will end up at. More than likely it will be the Cotton Bowl.

We had a great Thanksgiving! And a much needed break from school. We did our normal thing this year. Went to Lockney on Wednesday night and stayed there, got up had a big breakfast then headed back to Brownfield. We had another huge meal with Cory's family and sat around and visited then it was back on the road to Floydada for another large meal at PaPa's. We ate all day, but hey you didnt hear me complaining. We came home on Friday and put up our Christmas decorations and enjoyed the rest of our long weekend.

Christmas break is quickly approaching less than 3 full weeks!!! It will fly by with basketball games, Christmas parties and numerous other activites that are planned. Until then enjoy some pics of our little lady that is growing up to quickly and Merry Christmas!!
Taryn wanted to help me cook chicken and dumplings. This is the outcome! Needless to say she had more flour on herself, the counter, the floor and me then actually on the biscuits.

Helping Mommy cook. What fun!!

The next few are from Halloween. I know I am a little late getting these on here, but better than never!
Cory and Taryn getting ready for the hay ride!

Taryn fising! She loved getting play all the games and would have kept going around and around the parking lot if we would have let her.

Off to the next activity! She didnt care that most of the games were for "bigger" kids she was going to give each one a good try.
