Tea Parties, Nutcracker and Santa Land Oh My!

Christmas time is here and that means we are as busy as ever. We are out now for 2 weeks, but will be busy with family, basketball games, and going to the Cotton Bowl! But it will be great to be spending time with family and friends.

This past Friday night we took all of the girls to Santa Land in Lubbock. It was a perfect night to go and see Santa, not to warm, not to hot. The girls had more fun standing in line watching The Polar Express then actually talking to Santa and Mrs. Clause. But it will be another good tradition. Afterwards we went out for pizza at Dion's and then went and did some Christmas shopping. Cory was not able to join us because he was at a basketball game. But he got to hear all about it. All of the girls with Santa. Peyton, Sydni and Taryn.
I was suprised that she got this close to Santa. At the mall she had nothing to do with him. I think it must have been Mrs. Clause. She is thinking about what she wants.
Of course she spotted Dora right off the bat and was more than willing to pose for a picture in front of Dora.

On Sunday the 14th we took Taryn, Sydni and Peyton to see the Nutcracker. I was not a 100% sure that it was a good idea. I didnt know how well two 2 yr olds and a 6 month old would do sitting through an entire ballet. Much to my suprise they did very good. They were mismerized by the music, dancing and costumes. Taryn kept telling me "look mom" I could only smile.

Sydni, Peyton and Taryn waiting for the Nutcracker to start. They all had matching dresses and were soooooo cute!

Taryn and Peyton with their mathcing dresses. Peyton kept trying to eat Taryn's dress.

Taryn and Sydni had their first tea party complete with santa boot mugs, chocolate milk and popcorn. They had a blast eating popcorn and toasting each other. She is growing up to fast! She should not be old enough to have a tea party already.

Are we not two of the cutest girls you have ever seen?

Fall Fun

Nothing much has changed in the Golden house here in the last couple of weeks. Our house is still on the market. Lots of lookers, but no takers, yet!
Football season has ended for Cory with Brownfield not advancing to the playoffs this year. Tech has had an amazing season, beating Texas and OSU and then taking on OU. We went in undefeated and came out with a loss. It was a hard game to watch. The season ended with a win against Baylor and Tech fans crossing their fingers and cheering loud and hard for OSU. An OSU victory against OU would have put Tech in the Big 12 Championship game. No such luck though. OSU hung in there but couldnt pull it out in the end. Now Tech fans are sitting and waiting to find out what bowl game we will end up at. More than likely it will be the Cotton Bowl.

We had a great Thanksgiving! And a much needed break from school. We did our normal thing this year. Went to Lockney on Wednesday night and stayed there, got up had a big breakfast then headed back to Brownfield. We had another huge meal with Cory's family and sat around and visited then it was back on the road to Floydada for another large meal at PaPa's. We ate all day, but hey you didnt hear me complaining. We came home on Friday and put up our Christmas decorations and enjoyed the rest of our long weekend.

Christmas break is quickly approaching less than 3 full weeks!!! It will fly by with basketball games, Christmas parties and numerous other activites that are planned. Until then enjoy some pics of our little lady that is growing up to quickly and Merry Christmas!!
Taryn wanted to help me cook chicken and dumplings. This is the outcome! Needless to say she had more flour on herself, the counter, the floor and me then actually on the biscuits.

Helping Mommy cook. What fun!!

The next few are from Halloween. I know I am a little late getting these on here, but better than never!
Cory and Taryn getting ready for the hay ride!

Taryn fising! She loved getting play all the games and would have kept going around and around the parking lot if we would have let her.

Off to the next activity! She didnt care that most of the games were for "bigger" kids she was going to give each one a good try.

Fall

Once again time has gotten away from me and I have not posted in awhile. The school year is going great. I love my class, well almost all of them. There is a few that drive me silly every day, but for the most part they are all pretty good and bright.

Our house is still on the market. We have had several people look at it, one offer, but nothing serious yet. I'm trying really hard to be patient, but I would really like for this house to sale soon so that we can get moved and we can start working on a nursery.

Speaking of nursery's it looks like we will be getting ready for another girl. We had the "Big" ultrasound today and it's a girl. We are excited, but it is alittle scary at the same time. Taryn is in for a big shock come March. The offical due date will be March 20th. That is what the ultrasound measured and that is what Dr. Burley's office is going to go by.

Football season is in the last few weeks. It dosent look like Brownfield will be making the playoffs. Which breaks my heart cause you all know how much I love my football. So Cory will be starting basketball soon, and he will not be coaching jr. high this year!!! This is a very good thing.

Well here are some pics from this fall. I will try to get some more up in the coming days, maybe even an ultrasound pic if I can figure out how to do that.

Taryn enjoying a TEXAS TECH Football game! Go TECH!
When daddy gives her a bath they always come up with a new hair do.

Sleeping in her big girl bed. She got this for her birthday from her great-grandma and she loves sleeping in it. Most nights she goes straight to bed and most mornings she gets up and makes her bed before we leave. OH I love this child and her "neatness".

Just a serious face. We dont see many of these!!!

Summer is Over!

It's offical, summer is over and we are back in the grind of school. Cory started 2 a-days back the first week of August and we started inservice last week. Where did the summer go? With summer coming to an end there were some celebrations. Taryn of course turned 2 and Cory and I celebrated 6 years of marriage on the 10th!! Where did time go?
School starts on Monday and with the start of school comes the offical start to football season, both high school (and jr. high) and of course my favorite college!! The first BHS game is on the 29th and the first TECH game is on the 30th!! Yeah this is my favorite time of year.

In the midst of all of this going on we have managed to put our house up on the market to sale in hopes of buying a bigger house soon! This has been nerve wracking and we had family pics done this last weekend. Taryn was a little model and loved all of the attention.

Here is our little house, you can't see it in the pic, but there is a Realtor sign in the front yard!

These are pictures from our professional photo shoot this past weekend. Taryn was a little ham and loved every minute of it!Sweet and innocent!

Followed by the "devil" mischevious child in her!

We thought she looked like she was giving her presidential speech in these photos?
She looks bored with the questions!Followed by a demand for mac and cheese and grapes at EVERY MEAL!!

This is nothing new! Pulling mommy's hair and thinking it is funny!

Taryn's 2nd Birthday Party

We had Taryn's 2nd Birthday Party at Gattiland in Lubbock. The girl loves her pizza so it only seemed appropriate to have it there. She got tons of cool stuff and clothes. She was a very blessed birthday girl.

Taryn's Birthday cake with the Disney Princesses!!
Taryn coloring while waiting on everyone to get to her party!
Cousion Kagen came out for the big party. Taryn tried to teach him how to color, but he just wanted to eat the paper.
Umm pizza! Taryn's favorite food right now! Get's that from her Daddy!
"Look at my cake! Yummy!"

Wow I have really let time get by without updating Taryn's website. I am going to attempt at keeping this updated better and keep everyone posted on what is going on in our lives.

To begin with Taryn is now 2! Where have 2 years gone? She is into everything and loves to watch movies. She is her daddy's girl. She is becoming a little more intersted in babies and princess here in the last couple of weeks.
Taryn is going to be a big sister in March and this point she is not very excited and will usually tell you know when you ask her if she is going to be a big sister. So this blog will eventually become a Golden Family blog and not just Taryn. So her is my attempt at getting caught up with pics. Enjoy and look forward to more frequent posts!
